At the end of 2022, OpenAI, a US-based company, released ChatGPT, a large-scale language model with a trillion parameter size that can interact with humans in conversation. It can complete various language-related tasks based on the user's input commands, such as writing articles, writing code, answering questions, and daily chatting. It can greatly improve people's productivity, thanks to its strong intent understanding ability, fluent dialogue ability, and rich world knowledge. ChatGPT demonstrates the broad research and application prospects for developing general artificial intelligence assistants. Currently, the technical details and model parameters of ChatGPT have not been open-sourced. This report mainly introduces the evaluation of the capabilities of large-scale language models represented by ChatGPT, the analysis of the evolution of capabilities, and how to more efficiently utilize the capabilities of large models in downstream tasks.
