Economic release surprises are the most consistent driver of financial market volatility. Bloomberg has recently released BQL for Economic Calendars {ECO <GO>} which allows you to download customizable economic events data into excel. 

BQL not only enables you to dynamically extract economic calendars for your desired universe, time range and sub-type. The new offering also allows easy access to average, highest and lowest consensus survey median of an economic release for weekly recaps and week-aheads.

In this special online event, you will learn about use-cases of the new dataset and be guided through some of Bloomberg Terminal's functionalities related to economic data. Additionally, the application of these datasets in Bloomberg's next generation Python platform, BQuant, will also be introduced.
