Platform Background：

China strives to peak its carbon dioxide emissions by 2030 and achieve carbon neutrality by 2060, which is a major strategic decision made by the Party Central Committee with Comrade Xi Jinping at its core to coordinate the domestic and international situations. It is also a new major theoretical and practical issue facing our country as it enters a new stage of development. In May 2021, the central government established a leading group for carbon peak and carbon neutrality work at the central level, which serves as a deliberation and coordination mechanism to guide and coordinate the work of carbon peak and carbon neutrality. National supervisory departments have successively issued multiple documents on dual carbon work. In accordance with the unified deployment, China is accelerating the establishment of a "1+N" policy system and laying the "four beams and eight pillars" for carbon peak and carbon neutrality work. At the local level, various regions have issued policies and measures to promote the implementation of carbon peak and carbon neutrality work.
