Guide for MBA Students: Find Library Resources

How to Find Library Resources?

To search the library's collection of books, please enter the book title, author's name, or any keyword in the search box.
Click on the drop-down menu to limit the search scope: all fields, author, title, subject, or series title.

 


How to find books? How to place a book hold?

  • Find a book in the Online Catalog, and then go to the corresponding floor according to the Location.

Next, locate the bookshelf within the corresponding range based on the Call Number, and search in the order from top to bottom and from left to right.

  • If the book has already been borrowed, the location will display "Material has been checked/charged out". You can click on “Place Hold”.

After making a reservation, we will notify you to come and pick up the book as soon as it is available for borrowing.


 


How to view your borrowing history?

Click the Login button, and log in with your CEIBS account to view all your borrowing records.

The search content includes journal articles, magazines, business publications, dissertations, newspapers, cases, reports, meeting records, book chapters, etc.


How to find articles?

  • After performing a keyword search, you may further refine your results using the following filters:
  • You may narrow down your search results by specifying: whether the articles have full text available, whether they are scholarly articles, whether they are peer-reviewed, whether they belong to the CEU collection, whether they are open access materials.
  • You may also select from various document types, including newspapers, journals, magazines, web resources, book reviews, trade publication articles, reports, newsletters, theses, transcripts, book chapters, monographs, conference proceedings, reference works, dissertations, datasets, and more.
  • Additionally, you can set publication date ranges, check subject categories, select controlled vocabulary terms, and filter by language.


Advanced Search

  • To explore more journal articles in depth, you can select an appropriate journal database for further searching.
  • Go to the A-Z List page, click the All Types dropdown menu,
  • and select Academic & Trade Journals to filter relevant databases.

To find data and information, please first screen out a suitable factual database.

The term Factual Database is actually a shortened form for both Factual Database and Numerical Database. Compared with Full-Text Databases, which are based on document types such as journal articles, conference papers, dissertations, and books, a factual database provides the most original objective facts, statistical figures, audio-visual maps, and other directly usable information.

You can also directly enter the data content in the search box at the upper left corner of the page. Then, select the database that meets your needs for further retrieval.

Our data resources cover macroeconomic data, financial market data, industry and regional statistics, as well as corporate data. Among them, corporate data includes basic corporate information, financial data, equity changes, and senior management information, etc.

How to find a journal?

  • You can quickly find the journal you through Journal Navigation.
  • Click on the journal title to enter the detailed introduction page of the journal.
  • You can select the issue of the journal by specifying the year and volume.

Top Business Journal List

The list of Financial Times' Top 50 (FT50) journals is based upon survey feedback from business schools participating in the Financial Times MBA, EMBA and online MBA rankings. Financial Times publishes rankings annually, relating to MBA, EMBA and Online MBA programs. These rankings include a research rank, which is calculated according to the number of faculty publications published in FT50 journals.

The University of Texas, Dallas, Naveen Jindal School of Management has created a database to track publications in 24 leading business journals known as the UTD24 Journal List. The information in the database is used to provide the top 100 business school rankings since 1990 based on the total contributions of faculty. 

The Australian Business Deans Council (ABDC) is the peak body of Australian university business schools. The first ABDC Journal Quality List was released in 2008. In establishing a Journal Quality List, the ABDC sought to guide researchers in business-related disciplines about quality outlets for research publication.
